Sustainability
We developed the sustainability standards requirements together with sustainability auditors on our team and with certification bodies. Rating of each product as compliant, conditionally compliant, or non-compliant is audit-proof.
Technology
Our tech team has built an intelligent database with an LLM data pipeline: it automatically reads datasheets and links the information. Today, we already have over 30,000 building products from 150 manufacturers – for each one, we check over 60 attributes.

The building products in the database can be filtered and checked for compliance with project-specific sustainability requirements. Planners and contractors no longer need to analyze the requirements of certification systems in detail or search for complex chemical properties in data sheets from numerous manufacturers.
Furthermore, Materius is a platform that can be actively integrated into the construction process: Our web-based software supports a construction project from planning to execution. Planners and contractors can collaborate directly and easily create site logs. Our automated documentation will significantly accelerate the certification process in the future. We have built our own database, which we fill directly with product data from the manufacturers' product data sheets.
The data corresponds to the manufacturer's specifications from November 2024. We are currently working on a direct connection between the manufacturers and Materius so that the data will come directly from the manufacturer's database. We will inform you as soon as this connection is available.

Our goal is to have Materius recognized as direct proof of certification by the various building certification bodies – a concern that is also in the interest of the certification bodies themselves. Until this goal is achieved, we are working closely with the certification bodies. They were actively involved in the development process and contributed their valuable input as part of our advisory group.
Yes, we are planning to integrate with other systems. To advance the digitalization of the construction industry and make processes more efficient, we are currently in negotiations with various providers of construction tools. The goal is to create specific interfaces that enable seamless integration. This will allow us not only to save time and money, but also to sustainably improve the quality of projects.
